We are happy to announce Clario 3.0.0 was released Friday, February 3rd.  This release is a huge milestone for Clario, with the addition of “Jobs” embracing the unique scalability and parallel processing power of the cloud and taking the platform to another level. Here is a summary of the features and fixes included:

FEATURES:

New Icons: The first thing you will likely notice are the updated Clario icons. We cleaned up the icons to accommodate “Jobs”, align colors with new branding, and make certain concepts more intuitive.

Refined Connectors and Links: To accommodate “Jobs”, prepare for future enhancements, and enhance usability Node Connectors and Links have been refined. All Nodes now have only one incoming Connector. When a Link is attached to a Node requiring multiple sources a selection dialog will be presented to the user. Links are now disconnected using the button in the center of the Link.

“Jobs” Capability: From the beginning, a user could run multiple Workflows simultaneously taking advantage of Clario’s highly-scalable cloud platform. Clario 2.7 introduced Project Constants - the same Workflow could be reused, tweaking Project Constants in-between submissions, to dramatically change its behavior.

Now imagine the ability to:
  • visually lay out dozens of Workflows, deciding which can be run in parallel on separate virtual servers and which need to be precisely sequenced
  • automatically override Constants for any Workflow
  • specify points in the Job flow to be notified of progress via email
  • skip over Workflows or Notifications on any given run
All this is now possible with Jobs in Clario 3.0.  Clario Jobs is a productivity multiplier allowing you to orchestrate dozens of Workflows and kick them off with a single mouse click.

How does it work? Jobs can be created under any project in the project tree using the same visual interface used in Workflow creation. Jobs differ from Workflows in that only two nodes are available in the node library: Workflow and Notification. A job can be thought of as a collection of Workflows with rules governing execution between them.

Jobs provide the following capabilities:
  • Run Workflows sequentially: if Workflow B follows Workflow A, Workflow A must completely finish before B begins
  • Run Workflows in parallel: if Workflows B and C follow Workflow A then both will be run in parallel after A completes
  • Send Notifications between Workflows: send a user configured email Notification between Workflows keeping you up to date with your Jobs progress
  • Skip Workflows: skip Workflow(s) or Notification(s) by simply highlighting the Node(s) and clicking the skip toolbar button. For instance, imagine you submitted a long running Job and unfortunately it failed on the last Workflow. Simply reopen the Job, skip all Nodes preceding the failed Workflow and resubmit.
FIXES:

Stream Marketing Parameter weight not properly serialized (CLARIO-1483)  Changes to Marketing Parameter weight values were not properly displayed when reopening a Workflow.

Cancelled Run not cancelled (CLARIO-1317)  Addressed an issue where under certain conditions a request to cancel a Run would fail allowing the Run finish.

Run stuck in SUBMITTED state (CLARIO-1382) Addressed an issue where under certain conditions a recently submitted Run gets stuck in a SUBMITTED state indefinitely forcing the user to cancel the Run and resubmit.

Thank you!
